Make 2025 the Year You Start a Green Team

A Green Team is a group of individuals working to promote sustainability and environmental action in a faith community. Green Teams often start small, but they can accomplish great things. Read these tips on how to begin, then find two or three like-minded friends and get started!

Green Year Resolutions

At the start of a new year we see all the lists. Resolutions we’re supposed to make to improve ourselves and our lives. What if we resolved to improve our world instead?

Eat Your Veggies: You’ve probably heard that a plant-based diet is more sustainable. It’s not all or nothing, though. Even reducing the amount of meat in your diet helps. So resolve to learn a few new meatless recipes in 2025 and share them with friends and family.

Talk the Talk: One of the most important ways to fight climate change is to talk about. It’s not about having all the answers, it’s about making connections. Check out this guide with tips for starting a conversation.

Get Involved: Ready to do more? Consider joining the Kentucky IPL board. You don’t have to be an expert and you don’t have to be based in Louisville. We’re looking for people with a variety of skills and perspectives from all across Kentucky. Email info@kentuckyipl.org to learn more.

Christmas for the Fishes

Your Christmas tree can benefit fish species in lakes across Kentucky instead of being wasted in a landfill. Trees should be real, not artificial, and must be free of lights, garland and decorations. Click here to learn more and for a map of drop-off locations.
