Elmer Lucille Allen Conference on Environmental Justice

Register today for this important conference on February 18 - 18 at Spalding University in Louisville.  The conference theme is Environmental Injustice in the Black Community. “Vital to Blacks” continued struggle for racial equity, is the need for our communities to experience fair protection from environmental and health hazards, along with equal access to the decision-making processes behind environmental policies and development.

National Faith + Climate Forum 2025

Earth Fest

Look for the Kentucky IPL booth at the Parks Alliance of Louisville and the Metro Office of Sustainability's first Earth Fest to be held on Saturday, March 29 at Alberta O. Jones Park in Louisville.  Click here for more details.

Zero Waste Event Planning Guide for Congregations

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta has created a guide for congregations to facilitate events with zero waste. This is part of a broader, coordinated initiative of which material use and zero waste is one of several ways to mitigate climate impacts.  You can download the guide here for use with your house of worship.

Help scientists track biodiversity by being a part of this citizen science project.  Participating is easy, fun to do alone or with others, and can be done anywhere you find birds. Watch birds for 15 minutes or more, at least once over the four days, February 14–17, 2025.  Check here for details.
