| 'Tis the Season for Sustainability Goals! Kate Bulinski, a member of the Kentucky IPL Board provides the second in a series of blogs from the Kentucky IPL Board of Directors. Many of us have been or will soon be sending holiday cards, eating sweets, enjoying festive music and, yes, doing a bit of shopping for gift giving. Indulging in the season can also involve the incorporation of sustainable practices. Read on our blog for some practical ideas for how to make some more eco-friendly choices now and into the new year! |

| | Sharing Kentucky IPL When we crafted our budget this spring, we knew the pandemic meant we wouldn't be able to rely on event income. This means that over 50% of our budget this year needs to come from donations from individuals like you. If you are a regular donor: Thank you! Perhaps you could share what you love about Kentucky IPL with your friends, family and faith community and encourage them to support the important work we do. And if you’ve never donated before, now is the time! Every donation matters and helps us to live our mission. Donate online or send a check to Kentucky IPL, 4934 Brownsboro Rd., Louisville, KY 40222. Thank you! |

| Save the date: April 22, 2022 On Earth Day 2022, we offer you the opportunity to be involved in an artistic extravaganza celebrating our earth, raising awareness of our common concern for her future and, through your participation, supporting Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light’s mission to mobilize a faithful response to climate change. We believe that through celebrating earth’s beauty together, engaging in conversations and sharing our concerns we can find space in which we can come together as communities of faith to make a difference for our planet. Please save the date and plan to join us for Every Day Earth Day: Our Joy, Our Concern, Our Hope! You will receive a letter with details about how you can contribute your artwork to our celebration early in the new year. |

| | | 100% REAL On Dec. 1, Kentucky IPL partnered with St. Paul United Methodist Church and members of 100% REAL, the Renewable Energy Alliance of Louisville, to talk about the Louisville Renewable Energy Resolution and what Louisville is doing for the sake of our climate. If you missed this event and would like to watch it, we have made it available online. |

| JCPS Solar Panels Our Earth Now, a youth led environmental advocacy group, were able to get solar panels for Mercy, Presentation, and Assumption. Now they would like to provide solar panels for Jefferson County Public Schools. Current systems are inefficient, expensive, and bad for the environment. This will help Louisville Metro Council reach its goal of 100% renewable energy by 2040. |
